Ok, I know you're trying to piss a particular person off, but that just isn't true....
Marvel Jr, mary marvel and the whole family were introduced before superman's were..so in effect superman in the silver age was ripping off captain marvel.
The fact that he had a cape and was super strong is the only similarity...
So in effect, captain marvel was the character that initiated the silver age of DC, because Capt Marvel was selling more books than any other character for nearly a decade...

well i'm not sure if CM is a rip-off of Superman he's definately a character in the Superman mold, the Burger King's Whopper to the Big Mac as it were. the only thing that i find bothersome about CM is that Superman was very much a labour of love for poor Jerry and Joe while CM was just an attempt by Fawcett to grab some cash from a popular trend.
