A while back, I got an invite to join the RDCW. I was going to at first, but I changed me mind, partially due to the fact that I've never been into wrestling much.

I do, however, like martial arts, and could come up with some really interesting stuff for a martial arts tournament type setting, rather than wrestling. The wide variety of fighting styles (in addition to fighting styles we make up) would allow for even more versatility. Maybe even have armed bouts for melee weapons (swords, nunchaku, etc.) as well as unarmed combat?

So in addition to the wrestling matches, what say we have a martial arts tournament in the same set-up as the wrestling stuff? Would anybody be interested in participating in one of those?

The only problem I'd have is that I know absolutely nothing about martial arts. Which make participating in a martial arts tourney difficult (to say the least). My question for you is why don't you think that your character, as a martial artist, can compete in the RDCW? If anything, you'd add a new dimension to the competitions and the Recaps. As one of the Recap writers, I'd find your knowledge invaluable.

There are several pro wrestlers with martial arts or Ultimate Fighting backgrounds. Rob Van Damme, Ken Shamrock, and Steve Blackmen. And pro wrestling also has matches with weapons. They are called Hardcore matches. Besides, this as much about creating characters and writing feuds as it is about matches. Why not give a look around at what we're doing to see if it's something you can get into?

It tends to put you immediately at a disadvantage and IMO is a sign of true weakness.

I sorta like the idea of a combined martial arts/other styles idea, as it is very inclusive.

I envision a Nowhereman/Shinobi Spade feud somewhere down the line. Cunt Fu vs. Kung Fu.

Good, you can talk DK into making it happen. Of course, Nowhereman will have to agree to it as well. And DK still needs to make a Shinobi Spade ID.
