Yep folk, my boss at work has insisted that I enter a beauty pagant on the 27th of April (my boss is a married woman, by the way). She thinks I have a good chance at winning. I read the info over and it isa semi-serious pagant. I need to provide a Nightclubbing outfit and a baithing suit that is not a thong. And because this takes place in Maryland, there has to be at least 4" of material on my backside. So, do I do this? It sounds like it would be fun. But I'm a little hessitant. I'm the whitest white girl that ever was. I don't tan, I have black hair. I'll look sickly next to these tans queens. Also, there is no personality part of the show. It says we are grading only on looks. Your input please?

Well, Star, you'd be hard pressed (tee hee) to find someone on this board who would say that you weren't beautiful enough to kick ass at that pageant. With it being so watered down and lacking in categories that might show off your mental endowments as well as your physical ones, I personally wouldn't advise you to waste your time. If you wanted to be treated like eye candy to be hooted and hollered at, try cruiseing around your nearest construction site and/or high school. I would bet money on you winning, though I admit that I am a little biased on this issue; but the question is whether or not winning it is important to you. What would you take away from this pageant other than first prize? What could this contest give you that you don't already have or that you need?

Yeah, I know that really doesn't help much; but my only reason for writing this post was to put your name and the words hard pressed in the same sentence. (tee hee)

I agree with Doc. Although like he said..it depends on what you want out of it.....if you just want the gratification of winning then maybe go for it, but what kind of pageant doesn't include a personality part, besides a wet-t contest???

Go for it sister. If you're worried about your skin color, here's a bit of advice. For about $25 bucks you can have fake tanning lotion sprayed on you for an even distribution. I'm having it done tomorrow, so I'll tell you later this weekend how it worked out.

Go for it! It's all shits and giggles. It reminds me of my old pageant days... 4 years old... blue bikini trunks... flexing like I was lil' Schwartzeneggar...I had all the 30-something moms swooning. And what did it fuckin' get me?! Third place! Third Place!!! Those bastards!

I myself am pale, so for me, the paler, the better. Think of it this way: no tan, no tanlines. And no skin cancer.

I think if I was to do it it would be for shits and giggles. Just to see what it would be like. A lot of the girls that have wn these in the past are babies, it'd be kinda neat for a "wednesday Addams" to win it from them. But if I didn't, at least I can say I did it. Though I may have more fun at the wet t-shirt contest...

I think you should do it, just for fun. Hey, your boss suggested it, so she obviously thinks thinks you'd do well. Oh, and don't do the tan thing. I think going with the dramatic black hair/fair skin would shake things up a bit and make you stand out!
