I understand it was supposed to be political satire. However, by attempting to make a joke about Bush's alleged "fearmongering" in the manner he did, all Stewart (and his writers) accomplished was having Little Richard make mocking sounds about actual 9/11 event.
Stewart is a talented guy, as evidenced by his Oscars work, but he's starting to let his partisan disdain for Bush overtake his sense of humor and taste.
Pretty soon he will, if he hasn't already, end up like Al Franken and Dennis Miller: once funny guys who have lost their senses of comedy to their own self importance.
