And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack. 2,506,410.81 CAD Rack points

Why the fuck doesn't Jack tell everyone to just piss off? Seriously, the man is always right - why do these fuckheads always doubt him?!! It could be a sunny, summer day in the middle of a heat wave and if Jack said, "it's gonna snow in 5 minutes" I'd break out my motherfucking sweaters and make some hot chocolate, because he is never wrong about shit! Gah!
And then its like, "hi, I've been tortured for 20 months and the only reason that you assholes got me out of a Chinese prison camp is so you can fucking sell my ass to a terrorist sos he can kill me?" WTF? If I were Jack I'd be like - "Fuck you Mr. President! Fuck you ugly Chloe - who did you blow to get this job because you are seriously hein and Hollywood has much prettier tail out there than you - fuck everybody! Y'all can kiss my hero ass! My ass has done enough for you ungrateful fucks - I'm going to Jamaica, getting me some alcohol, pot and poonany and calling it a day!"
Great eps, BTW.

though i agree that they need to start using jared subway angles on her she did look better in earlier seasons. and the burtal trutha nd wit coming from someone say above average i believe would just give off the tone of "kill the bitch already". Plus, pretty people aren't that geeky.

I have been really enjoying the past 2 nights of 24. What a fucking good show and this is may be the best season ever. I especially like that they are reminding the American public what a threat arabs pose to the civilized world. Profiling and a constant offensive against arabs and arab americans is the only way to keep this country safe. If they don't like it they should do more to police their own people.

You know what I really love about the show.....is how accurately they portray bleeding heart liberals. Every time a dumb fuck BH Liberal says, "oh no the constitutio" or every time they say such and such arab is a good guy.....The arab turns out to be a bad guy....................THEY ARE ALL BAD GUYS!!! Greatest show evar..........I hope Jack tortures Fayed and then kills him very painfully.

this i disagree, in past storylines they focused on well story and action, with this season and possibly even last they were more fast paced. sure that's entertaining but it doesn't leave much room for closure.

I like it cause they are killing arabs and showing people what arabs are really like. It's like a TV show plus a historical documentary all in one.

Funny you should mention that:
some are wondering if this year's President Palmer isn't a fictionalized view of a future with Sen. Barack Hussein Obama in the Oval Office.
In the first four hours of the latest installment of the show, the younger Palmer, who is African American, has allowed terrorists to kill hundreds of Americans in smaller, but devastating terrorist attacks across the country for weeks, acted on faulty intelligence to cut a deal with the wrong terrorist, then cut a deal with yet another terrorist who may still have it out for America, almost sacrificed hero Jack Bauer at the hands of aforementioned terrorist baddy, and allowed a suitcase nuke to be detonated in downtown Los Angeles.
Some see comparisons between Obama's and the fictional Palmer's background: lack of experience, poor instincts, but great personal story, compelling appeal.
"It's just too convenient, and besides, Palmer's middle name isn't Hussein," says a Democratic staffer in the Senate, who laughed off the comparisons.

Amazing seasons 1 -3 had a black president. and the writers have said in interviews and the 24 insider that the storylines are 'near future, based in a fictional place similar to the US."

Actually I like the Palmer character very much. He has fucked up big time that's for sure....but to me that is the whole point of the war on terror. If you don't profile arabs and you don't go after them with everything you have, then ultimately no President would be able to defend us. What is happening on 24 is a very real possibility and once these cells get established, there is nothing you can do except play catch up and wait it out and hope you maybe get lucky. Palmer is playing catch up cause in this "America" they didn't do everything they could to go after all the bad arabs before the attacks started.....even American born arabs....who just like in the show would be more than willing to help terrorists.
Why is this so hard to understand for BH Liberals?

Muslims unhappy over `24' portrayal 1/18/2007, 1:41 p.m. ET By WAYNE PARRY The Associated Press CLIFTON, N.J. (AP) — Two years ago, Muslim groups protested when the plot of the hit Fox drama `24' cast Islamic terrorists as the villains who launched a stolen nuclear missile in an attack on America. Now, after a one-year respite during which Russian separatists played the bad guys on the critically acclaimed series, Muslims are back in the evil spotlight. Unlike last time, when agent Jack Bauer saved the day, the terrorists this time have already succeeded in detonating a nuclear bomb in a Los Angeles suburb. Being portrayed again as the heartless wrongdoers has drawn renewed protests from Muslim groups, including one that had a meeting with Fox executives two years ago over the issue. "The overwhelming impression you get is fear and hatred for Muslims," said Rabiah Ahmed, a spokeswoman for the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. She said Thursday she was distressed by this season's premiere. "After watching that show, I was afraid to go to the grocery store because I wasn't sure the person next to me would be able to differentiate between fiction and reality." She said the group had a conference call Wednesday with Fox executives to protest the current plot line and request more positive portrayals of Muslims on the show, but was not promised anything. After a January 2005 meeting with CAIR, Fox aired a commercial in which the show's star, Kiefer Sutherland, urged viewers to keep in mind that the show's villains are not representative of all Muslims. In a written statement issued late Wednesday night, the network said it has not singled out any ethnic or religious group for blame in creating its characters. "24 is a heightened drama about anti-terrorism," the statement read. "After five seasons, the audience clearly understands this, and realizes that any individual, family, or group (ethnic or otherwise) that engages in violence is not meant to be typical. "Over the past several seasons, the villains have included shadowy Anglo businessmen, Baltic Europeans, Germans, Russians, Islamic fundamentalists, and even the (Anglo-American) president of the United States," the network said. "The show has made a concerted effort to show ethnic, religious and political groups as multidimensional, and political issues are debated from multiple viewpoints." The current season began with Muslim terrorists waging an 11-week campaign of suicide bombings across America, culminating in the detonation of a suitcase-sized nuclear bomb in Valencia, Calif., about 26 miles north of Los Angeles. Estimated death toll: 12,000. Watching the show's characters talk about detonating a nuclear weapon a few blocks from where she works unnerved Sireen Sawaf, an official with the Los Angeles-based Muslim Public Affairs Council, and a self-described "huge `24' fan." "It's a great show, and I do realize it's a multidimensional show that portrays extreme situations," she said. "They have gone out of their way to have non-Muslim terror cells. "But I'm concerned about the image it ingrains in the minds of the American public and the American government, particularly when you have anti-Muslim statements spewing from the mouths of government officials." Sohail Mohammed, a New Jersey immigration lawyer who represented scores of detainees caught up in the post Sept. 11, 2001 dragnet, watched the episode depicting the nuclear attack with an Associated Press reporter. "I was shocked," he said. "Somewhere, some lunatic out there watching this will do something to an innocent American Muslim because he believes what he saw on TV." Engy Abdelkader, a member of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee from Howell, N.J., launched a campaign Wednesday to encourage Muslims offended by the program to complain to Fox. "I found the portrayal of American Muslims to be pretty horrendous," she said. "It was denigrating from beginning to end. This is one of the most popular programs on television today. It's pretty distressing." Concerns about Muslims' civil rights, detention of terror suspects in Guantanamo-like holding centers, and stereotyping are given vastly expanded treatment on `24' this year. In one exchange, the show depicts the president's national security adviser challenging the White House chief of staff over the detention of Muslims without criminal charges. "Right now the American Muslim community is our greatest asset," the security adviser says. "They have provided law enforcement with hundreds of tips, and not a single member of that community has been implicated in these attacks." "So far," the chief of staff responds.

i still watch 24, I enjoy it for the action on an episode by episode basis, but I stopped caring about the ongoing plots a few seasons ago because they have become, let's face it, utter bullshit. They make fuck all sense and are holier than the pope.

The Associated Press
CLIFTON, N.J.
Being portrayed again as the heartless wrongdoers has drawn renewed protests from Muslim groups, including one that had a meeting with Fox executives two years ago over the issue.

this isn't news, they had an issue with the same thing a couple seasons ago, demanded an apology from 24, FOX and kiefer. The show by epi 3 was begining with a header with kiefer saying basically "not all muslims are evil" the organization in the end supported terrorism.

What, was somebody gonna throw a cantaloupe at her? Please. Can she be any more dramatic or more insulting to average Americans?
That's like me saying I should be afraid to go out in public after "Boston Legal" airs because some dude might pummel me for Denny Crane's latest hijinks.
But you have the give the guys at Fox credit for having the balls to tell it like it is
One of the things that makes 24 a great show is that it isn't politically correct and it's willing to go where other shows won't. Were it to only feature non-Muslim terrorists in season after season, it would be patently absurd. True, most Muslims aren't terrorists, but most of the terrorists who want to attack America are Muslim.

last night's show was great....lots of action. I liked Jack beating up his douchbag brother. Great show....really makes you hate muslims even more than you already do.

I agree, and I have no problem with that because they make a point to show non-terrorist muslims, muslim terrorists like Dr. Bashir who are seeking a better way, and a muslim terrorist in each year who has doubts. Its more evenly balanced and makes for better TV.

Most of the terrorists represented in "24" through the years have been Arab Muslims. Why? Well, probably because most terrorists today are, in fact, Arab Muslims.
24 has been pretty balanced. They always have good Arabs and bad (the businessman and the Arabic woman in CTU) in the show. Years 1,3, and 5 had eastern european villains and even the arabs in year 2 were actually pawns of oil cartels so I think any charge of racism is baseless. Anyone who is dumb enough to be inspired towards violence or racism from this show is already fucked up to begin with.

National Reviewthe dean of West Point ..flew to La-La Land to talk to the producers of Fox’s hit show, 24.
Brig. Gen. Patrick Finnegan told the show’s creative team that his students were learning terrible lessons about the utility of brutal violence in interrogations. “The kids see it,” Finnegan complained to the article’s author, “and say, ‘If torture is wrong, what about 24?’“

first off, torture is not wrong...and secondly the minor stuff that they do like a knife in the knee cap or shoulder blade or a power drill in the back is pretty tame.....no one dies. most of the time.

though this season is whole lot better than last its just way too over the top, i liked the earlier seasons better when they were more possibly realistic.

This last episode was excellent. Lennox is cool.
He was also the one who played Craig Tindle on This Just In.

I hope they don't make Doyle blind. That would suck. How's he supposed to find Nadia's G-spot if that happens?
I gotta admit. I fully expected Jack to jump off the ledge at the end...Or shoot himself.
