So... many of us like to talk about music and musicians in this forum, but I wonder how many of us have been hiding some sort of musical talent from the rest of us. How many of you out there have any kind of musical ability? Sing in the shower when nobody's listening? Fancy yourself a decent guitarist? Able to plink out a tune on the piano well enough for your friends to sing along? Or perhaps something else entirely? Tell us about it here. I want to see how many musicians we have on the boards. Plus, when (if?) Rob-o-con rolls around, it'd be pretty awesome to put together an impromptu band of posters for a jam session.

I'm better at karaoke than Snarf! But by all accounts, Snarf is good at playing the skin flute!

Aside from my renowned and vaunted karaoke skills, I also used to play the clarinet. In fact, I once figured out how to play Green Day's Basket Case on it.

took bass lessons for many years from the Ann Arbor Rock Band School
sang through most of academy.
can tune a radio quite well.
And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. He never got the spirit of the RKMBs. We're gonna keep an eye on the obits, see if he finally left or if he really did have a heart attack. 2,506,410.81 CAD Rack points

so since they're pimping the big domestics and housewares transitions the good stuff got pushed all the way to pages eighteen through twenty-one. still there was a handful of reasonable bargains in this week's ad. let's see here... - westinghouse 19" widescreen lcd monitor - $169.99: better than average price, but most people are springing for 22" these days. still, if you're tired of the crt dinosaur that's been eating up half your desk, now might be a good time to spring for this particular monitor.
- olevia 37" lcd television - $699: again, a decent offering from a decent mid-market brand. gonna be hard to find this size television in a price range most brands sell 32- or even 26-inchers in.
- philips progressive-scan dvd player - $39.99: a step down from last week's model, it's identical in every way except it lacks the hdmi upconvert. which may be a dealbreaker for some, but if you don't have a high-definition tv anyway, it's a decent buy for its ability to play pretty much any burned disc format and decode DivX video.
- you can now get ahold of gta3 reservation cards, but target's generally pretty good with keeping enough software in stock on or near release date.
- two models of lcd televisions went clearance at most stores in the region, but I wouldn't recommend them as they have integrated dvd players and you'll usually end up with a display model anyway. granted, floor models are another thirty percent off, but I wouldn't get one without also grabbing target's three-year extended service plan.
there you have it. not very spectacular, but getting closer to easter things should improve somewhat.
