Newsmeat, a site that lists public campaign contributions has a section for celebrities. Being curious as to which celebrities, other than the obvious ones (Charlton Heston, Tom Selleck, for example), may be republican, I looked through the list for celebrities who donated more to the GOP than the democrats. Here are a few of the more prominent ones: And here the biggest surprises, people who kind of made my jaw drop to find them on the GOP donor list This is not a completely scientific thing, obviously. It only records certain kinds of donations and obviously doesn’t necessarily mean this is how the celebrity is registered to vote. Still, I thought some, especially the “jaw droppers” were interesting.

Technically James Woods is a Democrat. But at the same time, he's an uncharacteristically patriotic Democrat. Much like Ron Silver.
And of course Lords is on the donor list. She wouldn't have had such a successful career in the porn industry if not for capitalism.

In the Soviet Union lots of great movies and theatre plays was made. Not saying that USSR was better than USA or socialism better than capitalism.
