i mashed around in the original pc version a while ago with some old high school buddies. it really felt like doom III, in that it had the same sorta hellish/alien feel to it.

i didn't find anything amazing, but it was very solid in design.

i guess im just sorta over first person shooters. i dont think i've really fully enjoyed one since goldeneye.

I guess that's why I like it.

I played Doom like twice, and never got into the 1st person shooter stuff 'cause of limited movement issues.

Then some one showed me this and I was impressed.

I can see how it can get boring after a while.

But I'ma liken it for now.

thats true. it does have the simple machanics of doom and "simpler" FPS games ... like timesplitters 2.

thats definitely more appealing to me than the overly complicated fps's, with all the nutty added controls and movement that i can never seem to figure out in time, before some 12 year old kills me 40 times.

I hate it! They took away everything that made the first UT so amazing and groundbreaking. (Assualt Missions anyone?) AND WHERE THE FUCK IS MY SNIPER RIFLE? What is is sissy "lightning gun"? And WTF is up with the new rankings? I got to godlike then I wiped the other team out with the redeemer and it went "WICKED SICK!". I'll give you a wicked WTF!

Let's just hope Unreal Tournament 2004 won't be so bad. They got drivable Halo type vehicles now. So there's still hope.
