Anyone else here play the Electronic Arts PC game Freedom Force?

 -

Just curious....I recently picked it up and am enjoying it alot. I dig it because the plot of the game unfolds like a 1960s Marvel comic...fun stuff.

So far, I've beaten the "Nuclear Winter" campaign and have recruited Man O' War to the team (I've already established the 4 central heroes, Minuteman, El Diablo, Mentor and Man-Bot) and am about to aquire Minuteman's sidekick, Liberty Lad and Alche-Miss (if I can ever defeat the campaign that introduces her....fighting raptors is tough... )

I love this game. I've already downloaded all the skins for DC and Marvel. I'm still looking for a couple though.

Have any of you guy's downloaded the Danger Room and Freedom Force X patches? The Danger Room patch allows you to play any level in the game you've already passed, with any of the custom skins you've downloaded. And the Freedom Force X patch gives you new attributes, powers, and special fx, to customize your characters and DC and Marvel characters.

I haven't done any downloads, yet. I figure I'll beat the game outright at first, so's to familiarize myself with it's workings, and then start with the custom campaign stuff.

I like how the new patch's danger room lets you pit your custom characters against each other.

What I don't like is how it automatically gives your own characters an advantage HP-wise, it tends to get too easy unless you do some little tweaking on whoever you're going to fight against.

Yeah, that's true. But sometimes I gotta keep myself from "amping" up my favorite custom characters too much. My Batman was able to take out 24 JSA and All-Star Squadron members I customized perfectly. You would've thought Jeph Loeb set up my Batman himself.

I am The Gay, you don't wanna play me. Muscle control, no way you can shake me. I am heavy debt, there's no way you can pay me. Anal pain, and I know you can't take me.

I love this game, especially being able to use custom characters.
