I just met a person who absitively worships French Culture. She even had an ex that she managed to convince into giving each other french pet names. and has stated that the French language is in demand in the corporate world and an ideal language to learn if one wants to get more job opportunities
Now, I know it's bullshit, since Korean and Japanese are the two in demand language these days (besides english), and also because I know that france is widely ridiculed and a non-French person who acts French will be widely ridiculed and be thought of as a pretentious priss.
But I'm more intrigued that an asian would be so enamored with France, seeing as to how they don't really have any presence in our country. With you americans I at least understand because some of you are socialites who think being associated with france automatically turns your shit into golden eggs, but come on! Filipinos are supposed to ape Americans. Not the French!

The only thing France has going for it is the fact that its actresses are quite often hot, and dont mind gettin nekkid.
Why anyone would wanna pretend to be French is ridiculous.
I've heard of people pretending to be American, Japanese, black, English and even latin, but French is just...well, its just fucked up!

To be franc, I pretend to be French when I travel abroad (and when in France, I pretend to be British) so people leave me alone and don't try and sell me stuff. Otherwise, they'll treat you like a walking ATM machine and they'll be on you like vultures.
And if that doesn't work, I tell them I post here. They can't run away fast enough.
