Driller Killer
The Mask
Ace Venturer
Bruce Almighty
Catwoman

In the case of Driller Killer, we hired it out on VHS in the 80s, and turned it off half way through as the whole family just thought it was awful.

With the three Carey films, I watched them all on tv at least trying to give his films a chance, despite my dislike for him.
The only one I enjoyed at all was Bruce almighty as it actually started off being a non-typical Carey movie, but then degenerated into his usual crap as soon as he got the powers.
With Catwoman, I had heard it was crap, thought the premise sounded crap, but as it was on tv, thought I would at least give it the benefit of the doubt.....I soon regretted it!

Of the ones I've actually tried watching?

  • Independence Day : When Will Smith punched the alien, I cringed. The moment they started "hacking" a technologically-superior alien spacecraft with a fucking Apple Mac, I was done.
  • Hulk : Ang Lee brought me in. The "story" pushed me out.
  • Face/Off : Could Nic Cage BE more overbearing and talentless?
  • Batman and Robin : Nuff said.

It's actually harder for me to come up with ones I haven't finished. Usually, I either suss out I won't like it and don't even bother with it, OR, even if it's bad I'll watch it to the end...

Batman and Robin -- I second this. After the ice skates and the credit card and the brainless Bane, it was so awful... then when Babs was Alfred's niece or something, that's when I turned it off and wept.

The Leaping -- the reviews SAID this was funny, but it was just shit.

The Seven Year Itch -- (Marilyn Monroe) I just couldn't force myself into this. too much shitty dialogue.

Arachnophobia -- although I have watched it through since then, I saw it at 7 yrs old and it scared me so shitless that Mom had to take me on a walk to calm down.

Night of the Living Dead -- (George A. Romero) I was in a bad place psychologically (15/16 yrs) and on some poorly prescribed medications (fucked me in the head) when I started watching this and it scared me and I turned it off. Haven't had the opportunity to watch it since, although I want to.

You Got Served -- After watching the South Park parody, I wanted to see this. It was on tv one day and I watched half, laughed my arse off, and then got bored.

Star Wars Holiday Spectacular -- saw pieces of this around the internet, was embarrassed for humanity, and I refuse to watch the whole thing.

The Fifth Element -- got about half way through before I got angry at t3h suk and flipped it off.

oh, wait, that's eight.

I don't know how many movies I turned off that I rented or was watching on TV (Lost in Translation was the last DVD I couldn't get through) but Jurassic Park was the only movie that I walked out of a theatre over.

The gist so far seems to be "The 90s were crap" ... which is largely true.

For about five years, I could never watch all of "The Shawshank Redemption." Always missed the last 20-30 minutes.

so you get to the part where Brooks Hatlen writes the suicide not and you get all inspired to fake yours on the net, and never get back to the film?

Southland Tales should be avoid at all costs, unless

A ) You're planning to stay stoned for over two hours

or

B ) You want to see Jon Lovitz shoot an interracial couple as a sadistic cop.

Unfortunately, I sat through it.
Wasn't really paying attention to much, though. Kinda fun to see my city get bombed during the first scene, though...

Quick one before I go to work.

Waterworld - Luckily for me, the film broke a little over half-way through.

Mine are usually flicks that come highly recommended or some shit like that. Thank God I d/l these days, instead of having to actually pay for the majority of crap I get bored with halfway through.

I never saw the end of Spidey 3 or Return of the King; I'm sure there are tons more but they were even more forgettable.
