How fitting is it that the Republicans are STILL hitching their wagon to this buffoon?

Curse McCain and his douchebag campaign for unleashing this idiot upon the world.

Joe the fucking plumber. Time has a way of dulling memories...but surely people won't forget that at the most crucial time in the campaign, a Republican presidential nominee actually made this moron the centerpiece of his campaign.

It's hard to believe. It's like a Rob Scheider movie or something.

mccain did a lot of ball dropping during his campaign. don't forget he was a complete rino, bitch slapping his own party on numerous occasions; discouraging his base, the far right, and the centerists who could see little between him and your average democrat. the media painted palin to be an idiot, something far from the truth (look at her record and approval ratings) and tried to make Alaska just a third rate state that's out of touch with "american ideals". hell, they were so good at it some people mistook tina fey and her parody skits to be real (palin NEVER said she can see russia from her house, yet I hear people quote it all the time as fact). most republicans voted for palin, not him, some joking that maybe he'll die in office so we get palin as president. obama became a celebrity of the (unwise and often ignorant) myspace generation, mccain became your grandfather who still uses pliers to change channels.

It's great to see that John Stewart is still able to speak "truth to power" now that a democrat is in office. I was really afraid that he'd turn out to be some sort of partisan who would now go after "the little guy" because he's too liberal, or chickenshit, to make fun of a left-wing, African-American, President.

Let's all applaud Stewart for being so courageous and non-idealogical.

Democrats had Sheehan. Republicans have Joe the Plumber.

That's a good comparison. They both seem to have hit the political jack pot and have been adopted by the Keith Olbermaun/Rush Limbaugh partisan types.

Fair play!
