Hi Dave,

THe Justice League Reality, started out as a DCMB topic called, Can I be in the JLA, too? , a disgruntled fan raised this issue, claiming he had as much right to be on the JLA, as some of the new lineup during the Obsidian Age storyline (esp. Faith, Major Disaster & Apache Chief).

Anyhoo, basically a nice chap by the name of midnightspectre pointed out, that the poster couldn't be on the JLA, as it existed in the DC Universe and not ours. Then someone pointed out that our reality didn't have a Justice League, so hence the Justice League Reality - Message Board (or JLR-MB), was born.

We had quite an impressive membership. The premise was that new recruits had to offer their talents and abilities, which would be of use to the JLR. We had some grand adventures, mainly involving our Arch (in every sense of the word )-Nemesis - the PostMaster of Evil, Chant (who I believe you have met already), and his Evil US postal worker-type minions.

Then the being we call The Moderator (Rob, to you guys), deleated our thread, for not being about comics

Most of us made our way to this message board. At the moment, the JLR membership stands at six:
Ace
dun_like_dinner
La Machine
Registered Member #552
Superfly Sr.
and myself (Britannica)

Chant made it through too

But alas, we lost a few members, including midnightspectre, and Jackie, our only female member, who had only recently joined

So there you have it, strangers in a strange message board. . .

Being new to all this message board malarky, I must confess, it has taken me a bit of getting used too, with all these avatars, smiley faces, formatting and edit features, but I'm sure we will all get the hang of it soon enough. :)

As I posted when we first arrived (on the wrong topic ), our Group was just getting past it's formative steps, when we were deleated. So please don't take offence, while we continue to get our bearings, with our own little thread? But one day, I promise we will have one of those multi-message board Team cross-overs :)

But in the meantime, I'll get the rest of the Team to say hi!

Anyway, I had better explain my abilities. . .

My secret identity is a Librarian, so I can cope with toddlers; parents; school, college & Uni students; and senior citizens requesting (nay, demanding) instant access to information (often all at the same time) - Hence the name Britannica!
Oh and I've conducted several storytime and craft activities for 25 toddlers (and their mothers )

I have an interest in a broad range of human/mutant/meta-human/alien achievements and endeavours. This knowledge manifests itself in two ways:
a). Useless information ability
b). Information-overload attack

My physical abilities include:
a). partial invulnrability (only to vehicles) - When I was 10, I crashed a dirt bike into a wood pile, sustaining a minor cut under my nose, requiring only 3 stitches. When I was 20, I was hit by a car, with only minor brusing for my troubles. When I turn 30 (next year), I expect to be hit by a mini-bus.

b). independent third-toe (next to the pinky-toes) movement, on both feet - Normal humans can't move their third-toes independently.

c). I have a trusty Britannerang, which causes a lot of damage. . . not neccisarily to what I aim at, but it does cause a lot of damage . . .

d). Limited time/space dimensional travel ability - allowing me to appear in Australia and the United States, instantaneously - though a side-effect of this seems to keep sending La Machine to other parts of the world (Australia, France and a whole new Message Board, so far)

Other useful abilities:
a) As the only Australian on the JLR, it was my duty to keep the rest of the Team supplied with Fosters
b) I can also cook, including seafood, pasta & chicken dishes, roast dinners and desserts.
c) Prior to joining the JLR, I had already seen combat with a "super" team in "The Paintball/Skirmish battle of '92" - Where, both my glasses and protective face-mask fogged-up. Couldn't see a thing and shot the referee. (I thought this would have been very useful, if we had got kidnapped by some omnipotent being, to fight in some intergalactic tournament, or something. . . Though it didn't help when our Universe got deleated).
