RKMBs Forums .::Important::. off topic and offensive posts I've got issues at the Wizard Boards (and a question of anyone)

Ok, so I haven't gone to the Wizard Boards since they moved them (a WHILE back) but I was going to stop by there to do a guy a favor.

Well, I checked my profile and I noticed that the e-mail addy that they had listed for me no longer existed (like I said, it had been a while). So, of course, I decided to change it to a current address.

After I changed it, a message pops up, telling me that before they can verify the new address, I have to go to my old address and recieve a new password that they have given me.

The only problem being THE OLD ADDRESS NO LONGER EXISTS!! So there is no way for me to get my new password.

So I email the webmaster, and they don't seem to believe that I am who I say I am. Obviously, I AM who I say I AM because how else could I have changed my email address? Anyway, then they tell me that there is no way to retrieve my password, and that they HAVE to delete my identity, and I would have to re-register.

After pleading with them (I had quite a few posts racked up, and lord knows I don't want to post there again with the "New Member" title), to not delete it, I finally gave in, and said OK.

But it's been weeks, and they still haven't deleted it. Truthfully, I don't want them to delete it, anymore.

Do any of you nice people know any of the Webmasters, that could help me get my old name back?

in most cases like that... you are, actually screwed. the older version of the message boards (like what DC still uses) really dont give the moderators any choice in the matter, as everything is done thru cgi "billing," and thus, out of their hands. of course, it helps to have a nice n'wonderful moderator, again, like the dc boards have, because then, you'll at least get responses and results within a few hours.
