G'nort , haunted by the Banquo like floating apparition of GL RoadKillCorp member Ch'p (remember that Chipmunk looking Green Lantern?Run over by some redneck) - demanding vengeance for his unjust extinction.
Enter Hal Jordan the Spectre - on yet another guilt trip/wrath of god/redemption seeking " I slaughtered the entire Green Lantern Corps and I hate myself" bender.
Hal takes G'nort to find the redneck that ran over Ch'p , hey - let's just call the redneck Roy. They find his house and Mr.Hal Spectre scares the willies out of Roy with some twisted apparition type beast from the pit Frazetta stuff, and dangles him over the abyss, while G'nort drinks Roy's beer.
Spectre eh? Maybe DC could get De Matteis to co-write with Giffen. Ryan Sook art?Sparkling!

Maybe Roy the Truck Driver could later be retconned by John Byrne into Guy Gardner. hmmm..
