I did and it brought back many sad feelings from the events of 9/11. My store ordered 100 copies for the regular customers and had a list of 225 people that wanted them to re-order one for them. During the 20 minutes I was in the store, they took 5 phonecalls and 3 walk-ins asking about the book.
Shame that's the only way to get "regular" people into a comic store.
The book was awesome. I liked almost all the pin-ups. I wasn't too crazy about the ones with super-heroes in them...except for the Deodato Captain America and one by Dale Keown featuring The Hulk standing on a pile of rubble, holding The Flag with the words "Strongest One There Is" printed across the page. Powerful image and it brought a tear to my eye.
Excellent job by Marvel. I do hope that Marvel overprints this book so that there is one for anyone that wants one. This shouldn't become a collector's item. I hope that I never see one on eBay that's been CGC graded and selling for 50 bucks. That's not what this is all about.
