So, Magneto is alive. He's been Xorn the whole time.
This whole issue sucked. I just put it down. I have a great respect for all my comics but I felt like tossing it out.
It was hurried, all over the place and hack ass lame.
Who knows maybe, just maybe if I comb through Morrison's entire run on X-Men there were signs and portents leading up to this big realization.
Even if there was I was unimpressed.

Jemas on the other hand never made promises of not returning characters from the dead-nor interfering with writer's stories (insert Waid, Morrison, etc). Hence Morrison calling Jemas an asshole or prick (?) at the San Diego Comicon...

I'm wondering how its going to affect what's going on in Uncanny. Polaris recently found out that she's Magneto's daughter, and she's having to deal with that right now. And also, Charlie is still walking in the current Uncanny storyline...

I know how they can fix the X-Books......they can do a big giant summer crossover with Magneto, Appocalypse, and Sinister.....and lots of sexual tension between Rogue and Gambit and Scott would be a spineless pussy and Jean and Logan would want to fuck but don't and Charles could talk about his dream of humans and mutants co-existing and Bishop won't like Gambit and Gambit would be like I don't care if you don't like me and Jean would get all crazy and turn into the Phoenix and Charles would look for Mutants with Cerebro and Emma and Jean would fight and Storm would kill a Morlock and become the leader and Beast would stop being such a fucking homo but he is a homo so he can't stop and Mystique would do something bad so would Juggernaut and the Shiar Empire would fall but them come back and the mansion would get destroyed and Magneto would get some of Charles' past allies to side with him and Sinister would conduct genetic tests and Iceman would come out of the closet and freeze Northstar's dick by accident and Logan would convince Jean that if he fucks her up the ass that's not really cheating on Scott and Cable yeah that's right Cable he would try and save the future by going into the past or wait no he would go into the future to save the past or wait no he wouldn't do much of anything except whine about how Appocalypse fucked his arm up what a pussy Logan would then call Scott a wimp and Scott would remind everyone that he's the leader and then the X-Men would save the day. 1. I loved the issue. Start to finish. Best issue since the RIOT AT XAVIER'S storyline.
2. Did anyone really think that Marvel would allow Maggie to stay dead in the main MU? You know the saying...there was no body.
3. Morrison's not the Editor; if he indeed wanted Maggie to stay dead, it's not up to him.
4. Are those of who bitch because Maggie seems alive the same ones who bitched when he was killed off a couple of years ago?

Did I think they would? No. Did I hope they would? Of course. Stranger things have happened. Barry Allen's still dead.
I didn't bitch when Magneto died. I was dissapointed that he didn't get a better sendoff, but I had faith that Morrison knew what he was doing. However, even if I had bitched, so what? It was a cool character, and he was killed off extremely non-chalantly(infact, a lot of people didn't even know he had died until months later when Xavier brought it up; again, non-chalantly). At the very least, if you're going to kill a good character off, don't bring him/her back.

Its not that they're retelling the story, but that they basically retconned the original. From what I found of her origin, (Lorna Dane's parents are said to have died in a plane crash only weeks after her birth. She was then adopted by the Danes, who are said to be her mother's sister and brother-in-law.) she would be a better candidate for the third Summers child thing. Now how fucked up would that have been?

Incest between Havok and Polaris? Sounds like something Morrie would do. Worked for George Lucas.
I liked Magneto's death in "e is for extinction." Showed that the threat of Cassandra Nova and the Sentinels was so fucking powerful that even Magneto wasn't even safe.

Forget the fact that Wolverine's super senses should have sniffed this one. What I don't understand is how no one noticed that, instead of the skin color and hands of a Chinese healer, "Zorn" had the skin color and hands of an aging northern European Jew.

Well, it could be Magneto has a secondary mutation.
On the other hand, this has been the only Morrison issue I've enjoyed, seeing as how E For Extinction is still hanging out in the garbage.
Granted, I wouldn't have even bought the issue if it weren't for the word of mouth at GameFAQs.com's Comic Book message board.

This sucks. I don't read X-Men, I haven't read any X-books since '95. But I did read Black Panther.
There for a while, Panther kinda lost it and had anyuerism (sp?)-induced visions of Magneto while locked away in his throne room.
Kinda detracts from the drama of Panther's disease if he was hallucinating a supposedly dead spirit that wasn't even dead to begin with.
Continuity sucks ass.

Yeah, it would have been cooler if Xorn was a new bad guy. If Jemas had anything to do with Mag's return, then Grant probably just altered his original plan for Xorn so that he just turned out to be Magneto.

I stoped reading x books a while back (and not regreting that decision) But the whole 3rd summers brother was resolved. There was a whole issue of Adam X (Not there was a pointless character) banging on with Grandpa summers about it.
