If you want something truly old-school but still good for when you're occupied with other things, check out the "Exile" or "Avernum" series by Spiderweb Software.

I recommend that EVERYONE play the Knights of the Old Republic series, The Force Unleashed, and, what the hell, SW: Battlefront, Galactic Battlegrounds, and the entire Jedi Knight series.

There are a bunch of pictures, also some drawings of socks in suggestive positions, and even some hand knit pictures in frames... which seems kind of redudant, if you ask me. Couldn't he use all that thread to make more socks? I'm so confused and disturbed by all this.

If you want some nice sword and lance mounted combat I suggest you check out "Mount and Blade"
The graphics aren't crysis good, in fact, it could easily have been done much better. But they aren't bad either.
Anyhoo, the graphics ain't what this game is about. It's about combat, pure combat, no spells and no potions to save you. Just hardcore combat.
If you ask me, there's nothing better than to charge towards the enemy with a full company of armoured horsemen with lances skewering anyone foolish enough to get in the way.

I found a torrent that includes all of the infinity engine games along with the most popular patches and mods. Its a ten GB file but its gotten me interested in playing those games again.
