Kinnear is slowly becoming one of the best actors in the business. He has been one of my favorites ever since his first real role in Sabrina.
This movie looks great and I can't wait to see it.

Of course, it had neither Hulk Hogan, Batman, or Nintendo, so I can see why you'd hate it. ahem. very well, here we go. stealing a captain sammitch gimmick wont finally get you laid. he likes fat girls, at least theoretically, and no amount of your dressing up will help. so consider this yet another failed path on your miserable, never-ending march towards the loss of virginity. also, you have no musical talent or fashion sense. and "pharaoh" is spelled incorrectly in your profile, which shows your brain must be shedding itself to pieces in your sink every morning in place of hair, since, of course there's nothing left on your glistening, acne-laden head to lose. finally, shut the fuck up. shut. the fuck. up. thanks to all of you for your patience. except for snarf; notably for any of the above 30+ reasons of utter shame and embarrassment he parades around with, fruitily, on a daily basis. lovingly, gob

I thought it was great, and still quite watchable. Agreed!  And, yeah, Kinner is a good actor. And he would be a great Barry Allen. As for the movie itself, it looks entertaining, but a bit like a rehash of Jeff Bridges' Tucker (also a good flick). I think I'll catch this, but probably as a rental.

I thought it was great, and still quite watchable. I thought it was really good up until the last few minutes when it 'got serious'. The whole "Lance Hunt wears glasses. Captain Amazing doesn't," bit was fucking hilarious. And them killing Capt. Amazing was great because you didn't see it coming. I would have preferred it if they had still remained fuck-ups until the end. Them going 100% legit by that point just seemed to ruin the ending for me.

I thought it was great, and still quite watchable. great movie! i would watch it weekly if the family allowed it! i find that reactions to the movie by people are either loved it or hated it. being a fan of the flaming carrot i went into this movie wanting to like it and wasnt disappointed. i can see why Bob Burden was reportedly upset, the humor veered a bit from the comic, but that's movies. awesome acting all around except for Janeane Garofalo but that wsnt a surprise, I think she got the gig because she was Stiller's girlfriend at the time. Don't mess with the volcano my man, 'cause I will go Pompeii on your... butt.

Them going 100% legit by that point just seemed to ruin the ending for me. yeah, i hated that. in fact, i think i just generally disliked the plot. i loved the concept of broken heroes. the shoveler is such an awesome name and "power", and the scenes of mr. furious unlocking his rage were great. i liked all their interactions and how they kept mocking each other and how they were so un-needed and un-helpful, even to the point of killing the only important hero, etc. i just really didn't like the story that carried them to all those segmented events, because it seemingly tried to be more than a comedy. oh, and janeane.
