This is gonna be a bit Beardguy, but:

There was once as a kid when my sister and I were playing in the back yard and it started to rain. So we went inside, but the back door was locked, so we went to the gate to go in the front door. Literally AT the fence line, the rain completely stopped. Sunshine out front and pouring buckets in the back.

I have experienced this a lot.

Another time, much more recently, I was driving down a N-S road at the exact same speed as the cloud above me (almost). At every stretch of road I would drive out of the rain and into sunshine, but at every stoplight the rain cloud would catch up with me again. It was cool.
