No, there wasn't. I have both Rickles covers right in front of me.
On the first:
Superman says that Goody "causes more trouble than the
villains." Obviously, therefore, Goody wasn't a villain in the story.
On the second:
Superman doesn't say anything and, in fact, is carrying Don's picture around like he's Superman's best pal (with Jimmy and Goody bringing up the rear).
