i never really understood why people would leave successful tv series, even if the show isn't at its best anymore.
They all remember George Clooney and John Travolta but forget David Caruso and Shannon Doherty.
seems like it'd just be easy money to collect -- you can continue doing movies in your off time!
To be fair, however, sometimes the TV producers will fuck over an actor and prevent him for her from making a movie that would have changed their lives.
Tom Selleck comes to mind. Even then, however, Selleck was smart enough to not quit "Magnum."
