Once again, I agree. But, I think they should have been supportive before that. Instead, they took him to task for not being conservative enough although the nation had already selected him to be the Republican nominee. At the point of him getting the nod, they should've done the right thing and towed the party line. After 2006, it was clear that any Republican nominee would have an uphill climb. The least they could have done is make it a little bit less of an incline.
