A combination of both.
We would have these problems with or without obama as president. The country is so bad right neither obama or mccain could turn it around. I think we would have been a little better off if mccain would have been elected but it would have taken a great president to turn us around in the next four years. Neither candidate is that.
Neither of the two would have a second term. There's too many people in America that won't think ahead and let someone take charge for eight years if we hit rock bottom during the first four. If we don't get a great leader who will run this country like a business (hopefully we will have Iraq under control by then) then the country will fall even faster.
