I really respect people like Kaufman, he did gags, or aggravation to amuse himself, if other people got it, it was a bonus, but he want going for the broad audience. There is so much fun involved in people getting mad over stuff that shouldn't even bother them, and Kaufman perfected that. The movie Man On The Moon really shows a lot of that.
