How you associate Jacob (even if it is John, which still hasnt been proven) as a main character, and Jin as a lesser character though, I dont know. How many episodes has Jacob been in?
not necessarily on an appearance-based scale, but a (perceived) importance-based one. jin is more subplot than jacob, who is essentially the controlling force of the island.
