And, to be fair, one of my favorite friends there is blind and I take every opportunity available to make fun of that and we're still friends. That guy never fit there. I could give you his number. rkmbs discount?  for the record, one place i just saw was $250/person. that's about $32k for a 5 hour party. ...and does not include "table dressings" which, to the place, means even table cloths. $32k for table tops! where are people getting the money for this type of nuttiness

My friend owns the Venetian and said he would give me a discount for a saturday night and that at the time was like 180 a head.
Try the Hanover Manor in East Hanover they are usually pretty reasonable. Or even the Madison Hotel in Convent Station.

other places we looked at ... lemme think... the royal manor, the clinton inn, richfield regency... some others i can't recall. they all seemed very similar. alexis really liked the richfield one, and i liked that their prices were not $180 a person

very much appreciated, peejus. i think alexis had some issue with that place, like some sorta something with her grandfather there, and didn't have a good memory of it. not because of the place itself, just associated with the memory.
it woulda been a good pick tho, cuz its pretty centrally located, and close to SHU which is where the chapel is.
the richfield place is close to there, as well. they're both like 15 minutes or so
