It has to be a shallow victory for Penn, without Prop 8, he'd have been a non factor.

I haven't seen it yet but he gave a cute speach.
I haven't seen this, but it would surprise me if it is a great performance. Penn does weak caricatures, he doesn't act. He get's a free ride at these awards for his liberal advocacy. I will admit he was great in Fast Times at Ridgemont High though.
