monkey island is just really frickin funny. sure, its a role playing game of the dorkiest, computer kind, but... its a funny one. im definitely NOT into rpgs, but, this game was worth it. its filled with very intricate and elaborate puzzles, that you have to solve using your imagination. like, blowing up a rubber chicken with a pump that you found, to creat a balloon that will lift you out of quick sand. weird shit like that.
mk1 and mk2 were fun, but both included very monotonous parts that i hated (like having to memorize all those insult comebacks in the pirate game).
mk3 was fantastic, plus it had really kick ass animation.
