Kevin Costner and his band to headline Taste of Syracuse- Syracuse, NY -- Actor Kevin Costner and his country-rock band, Modern West, will headline the Taste of Syracuse with a free concert in Clinton Square June 6, organizers said Sunday.
Costner and his band will perform about 9 p.m., capping two full days of musical entertainment and food during the festival, which runs June 5 and 6 in Clinton Square.
The movie star and his band are coming to Syracuse as part of a tour that begins in Reno, Nevada in April. Costner and Modern West will be at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls June 4 and 5 before coming to Syracuse.
"I am so excited I can't even stand it," said Pam Levine, Taste of Syracuse event's director. "It was on the fence for a while, because he thought he might be doing a movie. We're excited, and it will be cool being in Syracuse and listening to Kevin Costner. We don't get that kind of entertainment , especially for free, very often."
This is only about an hour to 90 minutes from my house. I might just have to go see this.
