Wonder Boy, just shut the fuck up. You have no idea what you're talking about. If you like Beardguy so much, go find him and start up your own message board that specializes in forcing everyone to be nice to one another, pre-1985 comics, Star Trek, cats, and homosexuality. This board is what it is. You've been here long enough to know that a decent part of this place is based upon the freedom to goof on one another and generally make fun. It's funny how little you had to say about what happened to Beardguy at the time it was happening. It's even funnier how you support people shitting on people you don't like (like the former Insurgents). But you're not so allowing of that behavior when it's happening to you or one of your "friends." You're a hypocrite, so just fuck off.
Nice seeing you too.
A few points:
1) In this case, YOU don't know what you're talking about. The topic question raised was whether Beardguy was a nice guy. I saw nothing to prove that Beardguy,
for whatever flaws, is anything other than a nice guy.
I
DIDN'T say anyone should have pulled their punches on him, beyond NOT vandalizing his topic on WRITER'S BLOCK, which Rob (partially) and moderator Cowgirl Jack (completely) agree with me on. I agree that we're all subject to the same banter, abuse and testing (as I said in the
I didn't know rex was so beloved topic yesterday).
So take it down a notch, I didn't say that.
And finally, I've often defended people who clearly weren't my friends. Up till the last few days, my last few exchanges with Snarf were clashes on political issues.
I've defended Whomod, when an alt of his wife was created.
I defended M E M when G-man made a Kabul Zick alt of him.
So I don't "just defend my friends"
I've PM'ed others, when I felt their behavior was out of line.
And I've come to see the wisdom that everyone here is tested, and has to either roll with the punches or choose to leave.
I even said that your getting on me about the Sporn cartoon/closeted gay schtick is fair game and standard stuff for RKMB, and that despite our banter, some of it I find funny, even though the joke is on me.
I sometimes take things too seriously also, and get taken down a notch. As you say, it is what it is. You either accept it or leave. And I'm still here.
