Nah, I had been thinking the same. Also, I remember getting pissed as hell when my school announced that any senior goofing off or playing pranks or whatever would have their diploma withheld forever. I mean, one little prank in good fun and they take away the paper that reflects your academic achievement? Bullshit! I even had to PAY to get that stupid piece of paper! Like going to their fucking school and getting grades is worth no more than waving to your family at graduation! Fuck that shit. Give a monetary fine; it is immoral to stint a kid (KID!) in their future as a college applicant or employee because they bring a bouncy-ball to graduation? That's more fucked than I'd like to imagine.
