I had a high school principal grab me by the shirt collar and tell me if its the last thing he did he's make sure I never attend any school in the state of Ohio, my Dad went into his office and had a talk with him, a tearful principle later apologized to me.
Nowadays the parent would have sued the school or the cops would have been called on the parent that brought the principle to tears.
