why? now after being banned within five minutes last time (for not even doing anything i might add) it just doesnt feel worth it.

Before getting banned from the Econolast forum for absolutely no reason, I managed to read a topic where they mentioned the forum you've linked to up there, and said it could serve as a common ground between them and us, as a way to get us to leave their main forum alone.
In other words, they're so scared we'll do something to their precious board they've actually set up another one as a decoy. All this fear is pretty funny if you consider that, technically, we've never even raided them. They came here and imploded.

Quite frankly, with the amount of topics cropping up here and constantly talking about them when they dont even post here, Wanky's statements about people here being obsessed by them is starting to look like a fact.
If we destroyed em so much that they have to lock everyone (not just us) out, then we have done all we need to have done, and move on.
Unless they "raid" here again or "come to the aid" of another forum, I am done with them, and quite frankly so should most of you unless you want to be classified as obsessed just like your old pal Wanky says.

I can see where from where Nowie is coming. We can look a bit obsessed, but I think there is a little difference between our "obsession" and that of the Iconoclasts. For example, I remember being told an old tale when I was little that a few coins could derail a train. Now, being a little country idiot, I tried this numerous times and failed. But, now there is the Iconoclasts. They are like the W & C railroad and I am like a little kid thinking a few coins could derail a train. Only, this time, the train derailed with authority. After watching the grand spectacle once, I couldn't help but try again. And, again, success. So, yeah. I might be a little obsessed, but only in the way that one is dumbstruck by the fact that one can do so much by only doing a little. Perhaps, it is the lack of effort that makes it so much like an obsession.
In other news, I did a little spying around their two boards and found they aren't on the same page. It seems that Relmurmot or one of the other "friendlies" brought that site out of the cobwebs to create a kind of "neutral" space were RKMBer and Iconoclast can engage in conversation as Pro's mission this week appears to have born fruit. On the other hand, you have the guy that PMed me. It was probably Black Raisin/Bionic Redneck that sent the war message. So, yeah, they don't seem to be fully eye-to-eye on the subject.
Regardless, I could really care less about whether there is another war. I just like making 'em jump on occasion.

Well, this whole renewed interest started when they tried to help MOTA and burned themselves in the process. Then Pro and others trolled the chatbox and made them close it and pre-emptively ban ALL of us out of fear. It's hard not to get addicted to so much victory.
That said, I think it would be pointless to join that other board. If they really want to talk to us, they're free to come here.

Thats my point, at the moment they have people here running around after them. We scared them enough that they dont visit an open board, and had to lock their own down, and now they are telling us where to post...that certainly isnt the way its worked in the past.

That's what I didn't understand about them opening this forum as a "place of dialogue." They are more than welcome to post here without fear of being banned and such. So, why don't they come here? Are they really that scared of an internet forum (rhetorical question only)?
And, like you said, it is hard to not get addicted to so much victory. I guess what makes it like that is that despite every win we get and no matter how total the victory, they keep declaring themselves the winners and talking about how all we do is irrelevant. Meanwhile, they sink themselves further into interweb oblivion. It is quite humorous and makes it hard not to go for another laugh.

I guess they want us in a place where they can edit or delete our posts if they want (which mods here can no longer do, by the way), or even ban us (which we never could). We've made them change the way they post twice now by barely moving a finger, so it's only natural that they should want to feel like they have some degree of control.
