Actually,sales have been reflecting my opinions.The current crop of Batman and Bat-related titles have been a constant sell-out and required re-ordering and adjusted numbers for my store.and DC keeps doing second anf third printings for "Batman & Robin" and those sell out just as fast.People like what's going on and there's nothing wrong with that.
Yeah, but let's face it. Morrison and Quietley could do an "all Alfred" title and it'd probably sell out. Furthermore, ASB&R was (at least for the first six issues) a consistent sell out. But it was shit. Sales do not necessarily mean quality or a desire to see a particular take on a character on an ongoing basis.
