http://tv.ign.com/articles/103/1038961p1.html For those of you who were hoping for a fairly seamless run through for Lost's final season (similar to the way Season 5 ran with almost no breaks), you're out of luck. According to Abramsology.com, Lost's 6th season is going to be broken up.
According to executive producer Cartlon Cuse, ABC will air the first few episodes in January and then take a time out for the Winter Olympics. The Olympics aren't even airing on ABC, but Lost will still take a break and resume the season in early March.
No official January kick off date has been announced yet.

i should be done with season 4 on netflix insta-view soon. dunno when season 5 comes out, probably january, but ill hope to finish that up before 6 starts.
rewatching the series absolutely has a "6th sense" type feel, where you see the same scene, but now it means something entirely different. it's amazing, for example, how un-mysterious the others are. originally, i didn't know if they were ghosts or aliens or mad scientists or whatever. and, slowly but surely, they're demystified through out the years. but when you watch through again, you obviously know now they're just normal folks, and its nutty! you can still see why the losties are all confused, but you know how it plays out, etc... really, very well done.
i also remember sorta hating season 2 and 3 during the original runs; thinking they were very slow and clumsy. but watching them again (and, obviously with the ability to watch without commercials and in marathons) they seemed to hold up much, much better.
more than anything though, its so friggin cool (and impressive) to see how much of the show was mapped out, even very early on.
one random yet awesome-in-a-puzzle-piece-way quote; towards the end of season two, locke and mxy's desmond are in the bunker with the clock, letting it tick down. ecko is outside, trying to force his way in. charlie tells locke and desmond that ecko is going to use dynamite to break through the door. locke asks desmond if that will work. desmond says "no. they'd need an atom bomb to get through."

“Lost” Last Supper Promo Pic: Clues Buried Within?- In anticipation of the February 2 premiere of the final season of “Lost,” ABC recently released two promo photographs showing the cast posed, Last Supper-style. Yes, countless TV shows have played off the Last Supper before (see: “The Sopranos,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “House,” etc). So no points for creativity. But given that everything about “Lost” has deeper meaning — or perversely, absolutely nothing does (on the eve of the sixth season, we’re still trying to decide) — Speakeasy couldn’t help but analyze this photo (dubbed the “Lost Supper,” which also happens to be the name of a “Lost”-themed “Top Chef Masters” episode) with the level of scrutiny that
 National Enquirer editors give to grainy, stars-behaving-badly paparazzi shots. Things we noticed: - * In the first photo everyone is looking at Locke, who is clearly in the Jesus position. Visual proof that his prophet-like role among the survivors and mystical understanding of the island will continue?
* The table the group is seated behind is an airplane wing, with airplane seats as the chairs of choice. The broken wall behind Sayid has the symbol of The Swan, where the Dharma Initiative studied energy.
* Claire is in the photo (third from left), suggesting that after seasons of fading in and out of the spotlight, her character will once again play a prominent role in the final season. * Is that a jar of peanut butter in front of Kate? As “Lost” guru DocArzt points out, peanut butter is Claire’s pop-culture icon. Does the jar represent Baby Aaron?
* DocArzt also points out that there are skulls at both Sayid’s and Hurley’s feet. Is death knocking at their door? Or are they just stones or coconuts, meant as a red herring?
* Sorry Jaters — Sawyer is clearly leaning on Kate. Skaters for the win!
* In super zoom hi-def, it looks like wrinkles are visible on Richard’s face. Could he finally be aging? If so, what does this say about the magical, Ponce De Leon-esque powers of the island? Or is it simply that no Hollywood makeup person can make a 40-something actor appear ageless over the course of six seasons?

rex suggested abc.com. the site uses a plug-in, which often adds conflicts when streaming back to TVs. alternatively, the streams are rendered with the intention of a smaller physical dimension, optimized for view on a monitor. thus, even if the plug-in situation could be overlooked or bypassed, the quality does not match up to HD netflix streams, optimized for TVs.
