Nobody else knew about them but the two people who died.

Miles can read dead bodies so that is how he found out about the diamonds.

But didn't someone in this episode say "there are two dudes buried under diamonds there because blah blah blah"?

I wish Desmond would return. He is my constant.

sawyer found the diamonds after nikki buried them. he was gonna keep them, but after a good talking to by sun, he buried them with nikki. both because he realized (via sun) that they were worthless on the island, and because he had already started becoming a pussy.

in this episode, miles, who can somehow hear the thoughts of dead people, apparently "heard" nikki talking about the diamonds she was buried with. he dug'em up, because he's cool and funny like sawyer used to be.

check back a few pages ago, you shit! you shit who shits!!!!

the general building theory is that the earth 2 scenes are a mixture of smokey and jacob re-establishing the world, where everyone wins and loses at the same time. locke gets to be with peggy bundy, but he's in a wheel chair. ben gets to be with alex, but he has no power. sayid gets to be with nadia, but she's fucking his brother. charlie gets to have his drugs, but has to have prison sex. etc.

It had its moments, primarily the Miles stuff and the Richard Alpert back story.

But in general it was one of the weakest, if not the weakest so far, of the season.

I am truly fucking upset at the lack of William Atherton recognition here.

Ted Knight is dead.

Paul Gleason is dead.

Jeffery Jones is dirty pedo.

Christopher McDonald only played an asshole in a handfull of films.

Shame on you all.

Bill Atherton is the awesome.

Actually, Chris McDonald has been in over 85 movies, often as "the asshole," including Dutch, Thelma & Louise, Quiz Show, House Bunny, Flubber, Grumpy Old Men, Terminal Velocity, the Iron Giant, Requiem for a Dream and, of course, Happy Gilmore.

Atherton is awesome but McDonald has probably surpassed him as the "go to guy" for this kind of part.

Yeah, Miles is basically them taking original Sawyer and Charlie, crushing them into one, and then giving him superpowers.

Pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.

I'm ashamed to admit that is true.

Oooooh! THAT makes much more sense than my half-assed shit-on-shit theory. I'm going to let you play the alpha-male on this one, Robert. I cannot contend with your prowess and random use of exclamation points.

But, if I'm right, you have to make Allan1 moderator of the Comic Book forum.

I want a spin-off series about those years where Ben was sending Sayid to kill people. That would be awesome.

Oh shit, THAT would be cool! But, only if they are completely new characters who are similar to their LOST characters. Except Locke has to be a bit more badass.

And Sayid would have to appear. And Ben Browder.

The reason I watched Lost at first was because I loved Terry O'Quinn when he was on Lost. I think him and Emerson would be great in the new show. I doubt they would even think of doing a new show unless they knew it would be good.

The cast of Seinfeld stopped existing when the show ended except for in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

And Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who has won awards for her current show.

I think, if done correctly, an O'Quinn/Emerson team-up would be great. But, again, most people would want them close to their LOST characters. Especially Emerson, who I cannot see as anyone else EXCEPT Ben Linus. He is so convincing, how can I ever trust any character he plays ever again? I was totally expecting Earth-2 Ben to stab Atherton in the forehead with a ballpoint pen at the last moment.

And is it just me, or has Alexa Rousseau gotten decidedly hotter on Earth-2?

I wanted O'Quinn to be who he was on Lost, a bad ass super secret military leader. I ended up loving who his character was on Lost despite that.

I agree. I've seen her in a bunch of horrible crap (Still Waiting) and she looked worse. Maybe she started eating since then? Maybe getting Jeff Goldblums cock is good for her looks?

I think a lot depends on who they get as showrunners. If they get people from Lost then I think it's got a good shot at awesome. Unless of course Loeb gets his dirty mitts on it.

Wasn't me, but that's not a bad idea. Still, it's a Ben-like role. The crafty bad guy, etc. Except, I think Ben is a little more bloodthirsty, or capable of it, than Edward Nigma...

Good point. You're right. If you frame the Riddler in the same universe as Ledger's Joker, then he would HAVE to be Ben Linus. I'd watch it!
