There has been recent stories that TNA have approached Heyman to be part of their creative team, in the past day or two, which would obviously give more credence to the idea.
ECW was a cult promotion, and a product of its era, and has no place in the current wrestling industry.
The original ECW couldnt draw enough fans. The WWE ECW couldnt draw enough fans. What makes TNA think their version would be any different?
Its also another name thats owned by WWE, so no matter what the idea is, it will always lack something by not being able to use original names.
I mean, does The Band resonate with fans like the New World Order?
Did the Voodoo Kin Mafia work as well as The New Age Outlaws?
Also, people like Tazz, RVD, Tommy and probably some others, have constantly said you cannot recapture what they once had, and that ECW died back in 2001 and should never be revived.
