They don't need to close every single plot point.
With this show they could easily get away with leaving a few island mysteries.
I would hope the most important thing is to bring an end to these characters story.

What still needs to be answered? What does everyone still care about?
For starters, what is the island? And they better not leave it with the answer being nothing more than "a cork."
