I got Avatar on Blu-Ray from Netflix today.

I only watched 15 minutes just to get a taste because my fiancee wants to watch it.

I didn't see it in the theater, I only watched a screener copy which I thought was really decent quality.

Seeing it on Blu-Ray is something else. The guys at WETA really have their shit together.

Between this and District 9, not to mention the LOTR films they really are surpassing ILM.

The only thing on the disc are the movie, and a few alternate language tracks.

They used all the space on the disc for the movie.

I haven't watched any parts with the Navi yet but whatever.

For my fiancees sake I think I shouldn't laugh so hard when 'Merica runs over the hippies tree and they all cry this time around.


Looked really great.

I watched Platoon again the night before.

Let's do the whole Navi villiage! For Manny and Sal! Ever see a tree come apart like that?
