Nah, you're wrong. Robert is right. The show has never been about the island and the scifi elements. It's about the characters. And the entire point of the story, for me, was that no matter how much we strive and thrive and whine and bitch, no one will ever understand the mysteries of life or why we're here (the island). Given that is a fact, then the most important thing is to enjoy the people around us that make up our life (the Losties).
So, all the "questions" were fun, but not really relevant to the point of the series. And, save Walt himself, all the answers to the other questions have variously been hinted at or acknowledged throughout the run of the show.
Great ending. I've never felt more satisfied over the ending of a show. This blows BSG's ending out of the water...
