Black is good in the right film (Tenacious D, Hi Fidelity, Tropic Thunder and even School of Rock) but like a lot of comedians he tends to phone it in in shit movies with crap directors.
i liked tenacious d & school of rock. ooh, and be kind rewind!
i actually hated him in tropic thunder. i thought he was one of the few sour notes in that film.
