Moore is a self righteous dipshit. His original work is intact no matter what movies, tie-ins, promotions or re-writes are done. The fucking series is still there in it's entirety. You could do a series of Stan Lee's take on Watchmen and Moore's story would still be there. For being a supposed genius he acts like a dumb ass.
The funny thing if I remember Moore making that same point years ago. It was before League of Extraordinary Gentleman. He was asked what he thought of the films and their effect on his works and he related a story where Raymond Chandler was asked the same thing. He pointed at the bookshelf and said "my stories are still there and they're just fine."
He's just getting older and bitchier with age unfortunately.
