I bought myself an IPod for Christmas last year (2003) and now have half my CD collection, approx 4000 songs, loaded on it. This weekend I bought a transmitter/charger cradle to take it in the car.
Man, this is great. I put it on random play and it plays songs from every artist and genre I have in random order.
On the way home tonight, I heard Son Volt's Windfall, Jeff Beck doing Sleepwalk, Steve Earle's Copperhead Road, Springsteen's the Promise and Wilco's NGESIMYA, among others.
It's like having my own personal satellite radio station I programmed myself.
