for the past few days, i've been using yahoo.com. surprisingly, they had the best coverage. constantly updated news headlines, and ever-growing library of images, plus a live internet broadcast of ABC news (with about a 30-90 second delay of the actual tv show).

cnn and msnbc, actually, i've found to be a little lacking. streaming video is DEFINITLY the way to go, yet neither have it. msnbc has streaming audio, at least.

newsradio88.com, and 1010wins.com, (two local news radio stations) do not have streamingaudio, either.

My friend is doing a good job of keeping up with the news in her journal. You can either get to it by going to my journal and then going to my friends list, or you can go here. She would be Duchess Webb, my friend from high school. ;P

I find salon.com and new york times on the web to be really good. Right now I'm upstate, and it's killing me. The house I'm staying at doesn't have TV. Fortunately, I can get NPR when I get off work, and have internet access. There's one supermarket that gets the New York Times in during the afternoon. Otherwise, it's the McNews of USA Today.

Part of me wishes I was still back in the city, in the thick of it. But another part of me is glad to be up here in the clean, quiet mountains, and away from the everpresent reminders and media saturation of last week. There's so much information (and misinformation) whizzing about, it's hard to assimilate it all.
