Only as a side-effect of keeping his bottomline looking profitable. Once again, he didn't give the needed advancement for free, so that we could have affordable holo-imaging-systems to find cancer, or to scientific circles to help find the Higgs-boson Particle. He used his "great genius" to sell new cell phones and make people think they need to have something to watch on them at all times. Fun tech? Yes. Worthy of deification? Nope.
