yar, that's hoboken from my balcony. the tower in the upper right is the new WTC freedom tower. the river raging in the main part of the picture is the hudson river. ...typically about 12 blocks from my apartment, and not typically forcing cars out of its way. snake had already escaped from new york, so we missed our chance.
no power, no internet, and most damning, no cell service! there was a good 3-5 feet of water surrounding our building until it receded enough for us to sneak out a side exit. now, there's a mini gas crisis going on, with everyone all pissy at the stations. i'm at my in-laws house now, so they at least have all the power stuff.
honestly, wasn't too bad. the worst part was absolutely the boredom. looks like the jersey shores got torn up pretty terrible, including monopoly's boardwalk!
