Give a rest, Mxy. I don't agree with the theory, either. But WB clarified what he meant. And while I still don't necessarily agree with his point, his point (however poorly stated) was about academic freedom and science not being afraid to examine unpleasant theories. In fact, the best way to debunk such things is, in fact, to treat them seriously.
It's part of what we real Americans call "freedom of thought."
