I have ORIGINS OF MARVEL COMICS, SON OF ORIGINS, and BRING ON THE BAD GUYS.

There was a fourth volume with Marvel's female characters that I never picked up.

But again, these origin stories are much more accessible and easy to find now.

I could only find the female one when I was a kid! That and the Marvel health and fitness book that I just saw a couple of days ago in the most recent EW mag under their '"holy grails" page. Apparently it's worth a couple of thousand now!?! I ended up picking the female origins one. I had also lucked out and was able to pick up the DC one that had both golden and silver age origins of all their top heroes at some library sale. The Marvel Firsts trades really remind me of those old collections.

As you said this stuff at the time was hard to find at the time. Back than I just figured if I missed a comic at the drug store than that was it.

Fair play!
