In some ways this is "news of the obvious" material, but there were some stats and geographical facts I wasn't fully aware of:
I'm frankly amazed Russia hasn't already invaded, although there are daily occurrences of orchestrated "Russian minority" uprisings, that are having an attrition effect on Ukraine's ability to maintain its borders.
